Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to making every event as eco-friendly as possible, reducing waste, and supporting local businesses.
This past Christmas, we had the pleasure of working with Derby City Council and Derby Live to bring the Nordic Bar to Derby city centre. With a record-breaking 28,000 visitors, we demonstrated that large-scale events can be both successful and sustainable.
We proudly collaborated with local suppliers, including Sami Tipi, Circulayo, Palin Fruit, and Freedom Brewery, ensuring that where possible, our products were sourced locally.
But the real impact? Thanks to Circulayo, we received an end-of-event impact report revealing that in just 33 days of trading, we saved:
✅ 816+ KG CO2 emissions
✅ 218+ KG of single-use plastic
That’s the equivalent of saving 726 cocktail shakers from going to waste!
If we can make this much of a difference in one event, imagine the impact we can have year-round.
At Mambo Mobile Bars, we recognize that our operations have an environmental impact, and we’re dedicated to minimizing it. Our sustainability efforts are guided by the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
We actively work to minimize waste by refilling bottles from larger eco-friendly containers, reducing packaging, and cutting down on deliveries to lower our carbon footprint.
We say no to single-use plastics! Our preferred serving vessels are glass, which are washed and reused. For events where glass isn’t an option, we offer sustainable alternatives like compostable glassware and Circulayo’s reusable cups, ensuring a full circular system for event packaging.
For anything we can’t reuse, we recycle responsibly. Sometimes, we even upcycle—ever had a drink from one of our stylish jam jar glasses?
We’re also conscious of our energy use. Our bars are fitted with energy-efficient LED lighting, and instead of power-hungry fridges, we use large coolers of ice to keep drinks perfectly chilled.
By working with local suppliers, we not only reduce emissions from deliveries but also help boost the local economy. It’s a win-win for sustainability and the community.
