2023 Wedding Bar Trends

2023 wedding trends?! It’s that time of year again, as we settle into shorter days and colder weather it’s the perfect time to consider what your 2023 wedding bar may offer.

Here at Mambo we’re about to open the diary for the much loved tasting sessions for our 2023 wedding couples. It’s the perfect chance to come and see us in person. To examine your day in more detail and taste the all important drinks! We’ve worked in weddings long enough to spot trends forming and here are our predictions for next year.

Personalisation: 

It’s always been a strong selling point at Mambo and a standard part of our service. Your wedding day is a reflection of you and your drinks should be an extension of that. Choosing them together (especially at Mambo HQ) is fun and a great way to introduce your guests to your tastes and preferences.

Mocktails and Low Alcohol Drinks:

An increasing number of people are opting not to drink and so mocktails and low/no alcohol spirits continue to grow in popularity. Gone are the days when orange juice/coke were the designated drivers only choice – and Mambo mocktails are every bit as tasty as their alcoholic counterparts. We also offer non-alcoholic beer and bubbles as standard at our cash bars.

Cocktail Hours:

An excellent way to fill a space – either between the ceremony and the meal, or between the meal and the arrival of the evening guests. Offer a signature cocktail or two during this time to relax your guests and get them in the mood for hitting the dance floor later.

Sustainability:

Climate change remains firmly at the forefront of people’s minds. Couples are considering the impact of their wedding on the environment and how it can be minimized. Using flowers grown in that particular season. Eating locally sourced produce and even using second hand outfits all play their part. Similarly, cocktails can be adapted by opting for seasonal flavours. Mambo no longer use single use plastic and instead opt for compostable ‘glassware’ at events where glass may not be suitable.

Reception Entertainment:

Bands and djs will always have a part to play at a wedding. People are looking at new ways of including guests and raising the stakes in the entertainment sectors. Magicians, circus stalls, fire eaters, fairground rides. casino tables. The entertainment can continue at the bar, use flair mixologists or our Mucho Theatre packages for the wow factor with bubbles or dry ice
