Mobile cocktail bar hire, my best decision ever .When I first got started thinking about mixing up cocktail as my own boss I spent a long time trying to decide what kind of cocktail bar shall I open, it was a conflict between the quiet cocktail lounge with some soft music with cocktails mixed in their own time, or what the market in the surrounding areas where I live and the economic climate needed. Then I stepped out, and a big wall crushed into me, the expenses, the price of renting, tax, license, and so on. At this point I even thought to do something different from what I know, like pizza or tapas

…..I thought I had a mix of good ideas that would work well, but my gut didn’t want to listen, it was telling to stick to what I know since the early years of my career: cocktail bars, which mixed up with my other passion for travelling gives you Mambo, my best decision ever, a Mobile cocktail bar hire that gives me the opportunity to bring my passion to you!

My beginnings and my First Mobile cocktail party

I was a”barkid” before I was a barman, serving “coffees” at the age of 9 behind my father’s bar, La Baita, which in Italian means “Mountain House” seen that is located in Lake Garda on the Alps. When I grow up I went then to college, and my father gave my two choices, wasn’t that many choices back then to be honest, but my choices anyway were catering or catering, no need to tell you……and then I worked in lots of bars, hotels and restaurants which I am not beginning to tell you or I will never finish. I knew I could easily spend time researching new ideas, cocktails are something I could talk about all day long and never get sick of it.

So I finally made the call. I decided to shake up my first website, thomascolombo.com, where I could create mobile cocktail bar hire services in East Midlands, Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and the rest of Great Britain.

Making my first mobile cocktail bar hire event proved pretty hard, it was June, usually the month when everybody get excited about using the garden,  so the bar was set up on an outside patio, a storm approaching, and what happened after is history. From that adventurous first time to now, I am still spending a lot of time learning about this business, I feel like a sponge, absorbing everything I can, from writing a blog, to create an amazing mobile mobile cocktail bar in the middle of a field, to calculate tax (booooring)….

The Reason Behind why I am happy and it is working

But looking back, the single decision that proved most valuable was sticking to a subject I was passionate about. It was because I loved the cocktail subject behind my entire business so much, that I had the perseverance to keep going when times were tough. Even though I wasn’t making money (losing it, actually) and wasn’t reaching as many people as I has hoped in the beginning, I was able to keep moving forward because I loved what I was creating. I had hope. And that hoped was coming from my passion. Italian Passion applied to Mobile Cocktail Bars.

So here’s my simple tip, do something you love. No matter what. Your passion will come through in your products, in your marketing and everything you will do. You will understand the market, because you will be the market.
